Austin D.
Lexi T., RN

Austin D.

Provisional Administrator

Austin D. serves as the Provisional Administrator at Westview of Indianola, where he is focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents and ensuring care is delivered with compassion and integrity. Under his leadership, the community achieved a deficiency-free survey during his first annual state survey, reflecting his commitment to accountability and excellence.

Austin is motivated by helping individuals find happiness wherever they are in life. Improving residents’ daily experiences is his top priority, and he finds purpose in building meaningful connections, seeing residents smile, and knowing their care is always the driving force behind every decision. He strives to be known as a leader who genuinely cares and consistently does what is right for residents. Austin’s healthcare background includes eight years as a Director of Rehabilitation, following his education in Physical Therapy. Seeking personal growth and a broader opportunity to create change, he transitioned into an Administrator role to apply his clinical and leadership experience in service of the Westview community.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys playing guitar and drums with friends and family, staying active in sports, and cheering on baseball – having played collegiately at Grand View University.

Lexi T., RN

Director of Nursing

Lexi serves as the Director of Nursing at Westview of Indianola Care Center, where her nursing career first began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) while she was still in high school. That early experience sparked her passion for nursing and gave her a firsthand understanding of the important role every member of the care team plays.

After high school, Lexi earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and continued working at Westview while pursuing her Registered Nurse (RN) degree. She later spent several years as a medical-surgical nurse at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, gaining valuable acute care experience and strengthening her clinical and critical-thinking skills. In 2024, she returned to Westview as a floor nurse and continued to grow within the organization before stepping into her current leadership role.

As Director of Nursing, Lexi is passionate about supporting and empowering her team to provide compassionate, safe, and high-quality care. She believes in leading by example, maintaining open communication, and creating an environment where staff feel valued and supported. Having worked her way from CNA to Director of Nursing, she brings a unique perspective to leadership and strives to remain approachable and willing to step in wherever needed.

Outside of work, family is Lexi’s top priority. She enjoys spending weekends at wrestling tournaments, cheering on her fiancé’s high school team and their son, as well as traveling and making memories together during the summer.
