With over three decades of nursing experience and a passion rooted in service, Sandi has dedicated her career to delivering exceptional care in long-term care settings. For over 25 years, she has led the nursing team at Westview of Indianola Care Center as Director of Nursing, bringing consistency, leadership, and deep compassion to her role. Her tenure is a testament to her unwavering dedication to both the residents she serves and the staff she mentors.

Sandi’s journey in healthcare began with a clear purpose: to care for seniors with dignity and heart. That same purpose continues to guide her work today. Under her leadership, Westview has proudly earned five consecutive deficiency-free surveys from 2021 to 2025, a remarkable achievement that reflects her high standards and commitment to quality.

Her approach to leadership is hands-on, team-oriented, and mission-driven. She believes that when staff feel supported and empowered, residents receive the best possible care.

Sandi continues to raise the bar for excellence while fostering a work culture centered on respect, empathy, and professional growth. Her legacy is measured not only in her achievements but also in the lives she has touched and the team she has inspired to deliver care with purpose.

Austin D.

Provisional Administrator

Austin D. serves as the Provisional Administrator at Westview of Indianola, where he is focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents and ensuring care is delivered with compassion and integrity. Under his leadership, the community achieved a deficiency-free survey during his first annual state survey, reflecting his commitment to accountability and excellence.

Austin is motivated by helping individuals find happiness wherever they are in life. Improving residents’ daily experiences is his top priority, and he finds purpose in building meaningful connections, seeing residents smile, and knowing their care is always the driving force behind every decision. He strives to be known as a leader who genuinely cares and consistently does what is right for residents.
Austin’s healthcare background includes eight years as a Director of Rehabilitation, following his education in Physical Therapy. Seeking personal growth and a broader opportunity to create change, he transitioned into an Administrator role to apply his clinical and leadership experience in service of the Westview community.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys playing guitar and drums with friends and family, staying active in sports, and cheering on baseball – having played collegiately at Grand View University.
